The entire team at Tier 1 are immensely proud to have won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, one of our greatest achievements to date. We were one of only five companies to be recognised in the promoting opportunity through social enterprise category and it is public recognition that we’re doing something unique and worthwhile, something which sets us apart from other companies operating in the same field.
Great news for our customers
Tier 1 already has a wonderful and loyal customer base, and we expect this award to generate new interest in what we’re doing as an IT recycling and asset management company. The business was founded on strong social principles and we believe we have a duty to give back to the community we live in.
Our incredible prison workshop programme is one of a kind in the UK, and we’re helping to change lives and give people a second chance as they learn to reintegrate into society. So far we have helped more than 130 former inmates gain new life skills and find employment back in the community, and it’s been proven that meaningful employment cuts the risk of reoffending.
This valuable scheme is one of the key reasons we were chosen for this award, and it’s given us the added drive to carry on with the transformative work we are doing. The award is a testament to the dedication of our close-knit team, and we couldn’t be more proud of them and the work they do.
Choose us, choose something unique
With so few companies gaining recognition in the promoting opportunity through social enterprise category, it just goes to prove that we’re doing something different. When customers choose Tier 1 for our IT disposal services, they’re lending their support to a company which is offering something truly original. Not only do businesses benefit from highly secure and environmentally responsible IT disposal, they also receive the added social value.
The strong principles which underpin our organisation shape everything we do, and we greatly value both this award and the support we’ve gained from our clients over the years. We have already seen the new interest this accolade has generated, and the more people we can win over, the greater the difference we can make in the future.
