Tier1 Achieves EcoVadis Silver Medal – Placing Us in the Top 15% Globally

by | Jun 23, 2026 | News

We’re pleased to announce that Tier1 has been awarded EcoVadis Silver status, placing us in the top 15% of companies assessed globally within our category.

EcoVadis is one of the world’s most trusted business sustainability rating platforms, used by over 700 multinational organisations to evaluate the environmental, social and ethical performance of their supply chain partners. Our Silver medal reflects independently verified evidence across environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

Our overall score of 74/100 reflects consistent, measurable progress across our operations. We’re particularly proud of our environmental score of 87/100, which EcoVadis rates as Advanced — recognising our ISO 14001 certification, our greenhouse gas reporting across Scopes 1, 2 and 3, and the broader environmental commitments embedded in how we run our business day to day.

Why this matters to our clients

Sustainability credentials are no longer a nice-to-have in procurement decisions. Whether you’re managing Scope 3 emissions, responding to ESG reporting requirements, or working towards net zero commitments, the suppliers you work with directly affect your own sustainability position.

Choosing a partner with independently verified ESG credentials makes that process easier to evidence and defend. Our EcoVadis Silver rating gives procurement and sustainability teams something concrete — a third-party assessment they can reference with confidence.

This sits alongside our existing certifications, including ISO 14001 environmental management, ISO 27001 information security, and BSI Kitemark™ certification for refurbished IT devices — one of only a handful of organisations globally to hold this standard.

Part of a wider commitment

The EcoVadis result is one part of a broader programme of work we’re progressing on sustainability. We’ve completed our first formal greenhouse gas emissions assessment — covering Scopes 1, 2 and 3 — and we’re in the process of developing our new sustainability report. We’ll be sharing more on both of those in the coming months.

Our zero landfill commitment, our King’s Award-winning prison workshop programme, and the environmental impact of our refurbishment work — each refurbished device prevents approximately 225kg CO₂e compared to buying new — all contribute to an ESG story that goes well beyond a single score. But independent verification of that story matters, and this rating is a reflection of that.

If sustainability performance is part of how you evaluate IT lifecycle partners, we’d welcome the conversation. Get in touch with our team today to find out more.
