Role Overview
As an ITAD Process Operative, you will play a crucial role in the efficient processing of IT equipment through the ITAD process. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Booking Tech In: Accurately recording the arrival of IT equipment into the warehouse, ensuring all items are correctly logged and tracked in our inventory management system.
- Data Wiping: Performing secure data erasure on all incoming devices to ensure data protection compliance, using industry-standard software and techniques.
- Cleaning Tech: Physically cleaning and refurbishing IT equipment to prepare it for re-use or resale, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and functionality.
- Refurbishment: Diagnosing and repairing minor faults in IT equipment, upgrading components, and testing devices to ensure they meet our quality standards.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough checks and testing on all refurbished equipment to guarantee functionality and quality.
- Dispatching: Preparing and packing refurbished equipment for dispatch to customers, ensuring all items are securely packaged and accurately labelled.
- Logistics: Coordinate with the dispatch team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
- General Warehouse Tasks: Assisting with general warehouse duties such as organising stock, maintaining a tidy work environment, and adhering to health and safety regulations.
