We are aware of how utterly vital this issue is to our clients and that some high profile cases that have been reported recently only go to emphasise further how seriously data wiping and computer hard drive disposal is taken by Tier 1 Asset Management Ltd.
As a leading secure and ethical IT disposal organisation, Tier 1 has HM Government IA Standard No. 5 the Government approved data security standard. For data wiping and data cleansing, we have Infosec 5 accreditation, the latest standard in IT security processes as determined by the Communications-Electronics Security Group (CESG), the Information Assurance arm of GCHQ. Most importantly, Tier 1 is suitably HM Government accredited to handle UK Government data classified as up to and including 'SECRET' at our premises in Manchester.
Data is removed from hard disk drives using Blancco Data Cleaner v4.9HMG, approved at both Baseline and Enhanced Overwriting Standards. Blancco Data Cleaner v4.9HMG is approved for UK Government enhanced overwriting use. A three or seven level overwrite with verification, complete with disk audit, including serial number is available for all data erasure.

A certificate of compliance will be available upon request for every machine data wiped by us, and we have our data wiping process independently audited on a regular basis.
